Buckeye Chapter Virtual Tech Talk Focusing on Tires (and a few Columbus Area updates)

Click here for the video recording of this session.

Hello from the Columbus area! We started doing a tech talk at our monthly meetings in January but COVID-19 has stopped us from meeting in person. Fear not,  just because we can’t meet in person doesn’t mean we can’t meet virtually to learn more about our BMWs!  We will be holding our first virtual Tech Talk on Wednesday, April 22nd at 7:30pm on Zoom (connection information below.)

Gary Derian, Columbus area member, will be presenting a Tech Talk on tires.  Gary is a Mechanical Engineer who specializes in tires and tire design with a current focus on forensic and crash analysis.

Topics to be covered:internal construction tread design and compound inflation and nitrogen inflation, winter, all season and performance tires track use.We are very excited and appreciative to Gary for the opportunity to learn more about such an important topic!

P.S. We are always looking for new ideas for club meetings and social events, if you have any ideas and can’t wait for a meeting, please email us at columbus@buckeyebmwcca.org! We’d also love to hear any ideas for a new place to try for a meeting. We have 3 basic requirements, a nice big parking lot where we can grab a corner to hang out before eating, a good drink selection, and a private room for 20+ people so we can hear each other talk.
